At the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Swat, a practical surgical training session was organized for students at the Veterinary Teaching and Experimental Farm under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ayesha Humayun.
In this session, students actively participated in practicing surgical procedures and suturing techniques. Under Dr. Ayesha’s guidance, they learned the fundamental principles of surgery, proper wound care, various suturing methods, and the correct use of surgical instruments.

Special emphasis was placed on following operation theatre protocols, ensuring animal safety, and maintaining a sterile environment.
This hands-on training holds great importance for students, as it not only enhances their technical skills but also builds confidence, professional competence, and teamwork — all essential qualities for becoming successful veterinary surgeons.
