The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Swat organized a one-day research seminar titled “Nanobiotics: The Frontier of Microbiology.” The seminar was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakeeb Ullah and supervised by Head of Department (MLT) Mr. Mairaj Iqbal. The guest of honor was Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa (Manager Research ORIC and Assistant Professor, Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan), who was warmly welcomed upon her arrival.
Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa delivered a comprehensive and research-based presentation on the growing role of microbiology and nanobiotics in the medical field, which was highly appreciated by students and faculty members. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shakeeb Ullah commended the efforts of the MLT Department, noting that such seminars nurture scientific thinking and research skills among students. He urged students to embrace research and innovation to make their mark in modern medical sciences.
Registrar Dr. Khalid Khan also congratulated Mairaj Iqbal and his team on the successful organization of the seminar and encouraged students to actively participate in future research activities.
At the conclusion of the event, the Vice Chancellor presented commemorative shields to the guest of honor Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa and Head of Department Mairaj Iqbal. A traditional shawl was also gifted to the guest of honor. Certificates of appreciation were distributed among MLT staff members for their contributions to the success of the seminar. Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa expressed her gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and faculty, praising the hospitality and academic environment of the university.
