“Today we are celebrating Exploitation Day, which reminds us of India’s unconstitutional repeal of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 and illegal and coercive occupation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This move not only snatched the identity and independence of Kashmiris.” Rather, the humanitarian crisis in the region has increased further.
As the Vice Chancellor of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat, I express my total solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters. The Kashmiri people have faced atrocities, human rights violations and severe sanctions for decades, but their courage, perseverance and determination has to be. Has become a symbol of resistance.
Exploitation Day reminds us that the voice of the oppressed cannot be suppressed. As teachers, students and conscious citizens it is our duty to raise our voice against this injustice and advocate peace and justice for Kashmiris. We want Kashmiris to be protected. Highlight the grief on every platform – academically, nationally and internationally.
Let us pray for the freedom, dignity and rights of the Kashmiri people. May Allah Almighty establish peace and justice.”
The program ended with a special prayer of Advisor Establishment Azad Khan Khattak. A minute silence was observed for the martyrs. All employees and students carried out a rally on the main road of the university carrying national flags, banners and placards and protesting for Pakistan and Kashmir. Shout the slogans in truth.
Remember that the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Swat is the first veterinary university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is in the first row not only in the field of education but also in national service. May Allah be our supporter and helper.
